Taking health checkups to remote villages
Diagnosing ailments, providing optical lenses, and prescribing primary medications to villages far from city hospitals.
Access to basic medical diagnostics remains a luxury for communities living in remote, dry rural belts of Andhra Pradesh. With the nearest district hospitals located hours away, many villagers neglect minor symptoms until they develop into chronic, debilitating ailments that prevent them from working.
To address this healthcare gap, Sri Satya Society deploys mobile health camps directly to village centers. Working with a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and ophthalmologists, we offer comprehensive primary healthcare checkups, diagnostic testing, and immediate prescription fulfillment.
A primary focus of our healthcare camps is vision care. Hundreds of elderly villagers suffer from correctable refractive errors or cataracts, which severely impact their safety and livelihood. We conduct eye tests on-site and distribute customized reading and corrective glasses to help them regain independence.
Through preventative counseling and early diagnosis, our camps are helping reduce the incidence of untreated diabetes, hypertension, and vision loss in communities that have historically been overlooked by mainstream healthcare networks.
“Our vision is to build an Andhra Pradesh where access to qualitative primary education and basic medical clinics is not dictated by a family’s financial standing, creating self-reliant village ecosystems.”
