Partnering with local farmer self-help organizations to serve nutritious fresh meals to daily wage laborers in Kurnool.

Economic distress in dry regions like Kurnool often results in seasonal hunger among construction workers and daily wage laborers. Skipping meals is a common coping mechanism, which directly impacts their health and physical labor capacity.

In response, the Sri Satya Society scaled up its food outreach, reaching a record-breaking milestone of 1,200 hot, nutritious meals served in a single week. The drive was organized across five key distribution points close to labor hubs and public hospitals.

The milestone was made possible by a new collaboration with a local vegetable farmers' cooperative, who donated fresh produce directly from their harvest. This support allowed us to prepare highly nutritious vegetable curries and high-protein lentil sambar.

By feeding those who build our infrastructure, we aim to offer not just sustenance, but respect and validation. This record-breaking week is a testament to what can be achieved when farmers, volunteers, and donors unite to fight local hunger.

Sri Satya Education and Service Welfare Society Vision

“Our vision is to build an Andhra Pradesh where access to qualitative primary education and basic medical clinics is not dictated by a family’s financial standing, creating self-reliant village ecosystems.”
